Welcome to Marling School. I hope you enjoy this web site and it gives you a flavour of our school. We are very proud of our reputation as a school of quality and great character. Excellence in teaching and learning is our aim and we demand high standards in all that we do, reinforcing our belief in the traditional values of hard work. The school has a motivated and well qualified staff, supported by an active parents’ association. Indeed the partnership between student, school and parent is valued greatly.
Our school aims include honesty and integrity, respect for individuals, rewarding success and teamwork. We have high expectations of all our students; ensuring they succeed at school and enjoy their time at Marling is our core purpose.
In 2007 we were awarded Engineering School Status. Our curriculum reflects both our specialism and our drive to ensure challenge and variety is available. At sixth form level, we collaborate with our neighbouring schools, Stroud High School and Archway School to enable a broader curriculum to be made available. There are increasing opportunities available for our KS4 students to study as the Stroud District Partnership develops.
I hope you are able to gain the information you require from our website and we look forward to assisting you further should this be necessary.
