Marling School and Stroud High School have announced plans to operate separate sixth forms in the future as student numbers continue to expand.

Students applying to join Marling School in September 2018 will not be affected by the changes. They will continue to be part of a shared sixth form in years 12 and 13 and will have the same experience and facilities as our current sixth formers.

The changes will start in September 2019 when Marling Sixth Form is proposing to admit both boys and girls. Under the proposed plans boys and girls currently in year 10 and below would be able to enter a co-educational Marling Sixth Form.

More details will be unveiled in the coming months as decisions are made and plans are finalised.

2018/19 (No changes)

Students are taught by Marling School and Stroud High School (SHS) as at present.

2019/20 (Transition year)

Under proposed plans Marling Sixth would admit boys and girls into Y12. Teaching in Y12 is not shared with SHS.

Y13 Marling students continue to share classes with SHS.

Under proposed plans Marling Sixth form would be co-educational and operating separately from Stroud High School.
