The Stroud-Munich Exchange is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Originally conceived in 1984, the first exchange took place in 1985 between Marling School, Stroud High School and the Wilhelm-Hausenstein-Gymnasium in Munich.
In order to mark the anniversary, a celebration took place at the Museum in the Park on Friday 28 March, attended by past and present exchange students, past and present organisers, headteachers from each of the schools as well as Roma Schultz from the Goethe Institut, London.
Roma Schultz presented Marling School with a plaque to mark the start of a new partnership between the school and the Goethe Institut; German - The Smart Choice, and we look forward to many years of productive partnership to enrich the lives of the students choosing to study German at Marling School.
