On Thursday 24 October at 7pm, we are thrilled to announce that we will be holding an evening with local author Rachel Joyce in conversation with journalist Caroline Sanderson.
Rachel Joyce is the author of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, for which she won Writer of the Year at the 2012 National Book Awards. Rachel’s latest novel, Perfect, was also released in July and was described by the Evening Standard as ‘A near-flawless novel of emotional truth’. Furthermore, Rachel has written over 20 plays for Radio 4 and in 2007 won the Tinniswood award for Best Radio Play.
Tickets for this event cost £8 per adult and £5 for students and all proceeds will go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust. Refreshments will also be available on the night and Rachel will be available to sign copies of her books after the talk. Books will be on sale in the Sixth Form lobby before and after the event.
For further information and to order tickets, please email Holly Bedford, holly.bedford@marling.gloucs.sch.uk
