The winning team who will represent Marling School at the Stroud Engineering festival on Monday 24 November visited Old Hurst Farm in Slimbridge to gain insight into milk production.

The tour of the farm was inspirationally conducted by Mr Gallop, who talked about farming, animal husbandry and welfare. The students visited the cow sheds, how the animals are fed, weaning of calves, dry cows, cows in milk and milk storage.

The visit culminated in a tour of the milking parlour.
