The Art and Geography departments are delighted to announce that Marling School have five winners in the recent ‘WILD Photographic Calendar competition’. They are; Marcus Oodian (10G), Sam Anderson (10C) Pablo Carrington (8C) Iwan Rossiter (8G) and Jack Abis (9C).

The theme for the competition was ‘water’. It was part of the Cirencester Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group’s project WILD (Water with Integrated Local Delivery), which was to enable children to gain awareness of the issues surrounding water quality. It was open to all young people in Gloucestershire aged 7 – 18 yrs and the winners were selected by farmers in the Gloucestershire catchment at the recent Pintail Award.

The students winning photos will feature in the FWAG 2016 calendar and will also be displayed in an exhibition at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester from 15 January – 31 January 2016.

The Calendars are available for purchase and all proceeds will go into future funding of educational projects with schools in the county. For purchase details visit the FWAG SW website. The calendars can also be bought at the Corinium Museum in January.

Well done boys!
