As part of last year's Art Club activities, members Harry Gloyn and Zach Newton-Jones produced artwork for the Big Heart auction to help raise vital funds for The Longfield Hospice in Burleigh Stroud. Their pictures were displayed in an exhibition and online, alongside 99 other donated pieces by local artists and celebrities; including novelist Jilly Cooper, designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Bananarama group member Keren Woodward and were sold in the secret auction raising over £2,300. This money will support Longfields Community Art for Health programme which uses art to help patients come to terms with life-limiting illnesses and improve their quality of life.

Harry said “I did this because I thought it would be a fun thing to do and I love art. I also wanted to help raise money for the hospice because art therapy helps people. It was exciting being part of the secret auction on e-bay. I was really pleased when I found out that my painting of the autumn tree had sold.”

The artwork can be viewed online at Longfields home website.

Well done Harry and Zach.
