Marling School has been awarded Lead School status in the Network of Excellence for the Teaching of Computer Science for the second year running. As one of the pioneering schools investing and developing in a computing based curriculum for all its students, it has been recognised for the quality of curriculum content and the extracurricular and outreach work it undertakes.

Mr Rhys Froggatt, Head of Computing Science said “I am exceptionally pleased for the school to be recognised for a second year running. Computing is a passion of mine and perfectly suits the intelligent and enquiring minds here at Marling School”

Dr Wilson said “We are thrilled to be part of the Network of Excellence in Computing. It recognises our commitment to delivering a high quality Computer Science curriculum to make sure that our students are prepared for a technological future”

The award is issued by Computing at Schools which is an executive agency of the British Computer Society (BCS) supported by the Department of Education, Google, Microsoft and the examination boards OCR and AQA.
