Marling School has taken delivery of the latest design in mobile football goals, thanks to match-funding from The Football Foundation.
The goals are on wheels, therefore giving the school greater flexibility when pitches are used by multiple teams or in adverse weather.
Sean Bailey, Teacher of PE, said: “Our old goals had come to the end of their useful life and we wanted to replace them with mobile ones so that we could make the most of our pitches.
We are very grateful to The Football Foundation for agreeing to pay 50% of the cost of the goals, which will make a big difference to the delivery of PE and participation in football matches against other schools.”
The goals will also mean that local youth teams will be able to hire the top football pitch for their matches at weekends.
