Show me:
At the end of this term, sixth formers from Marling School and Stroud High School spent a fascinating and memorable week at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. They attended and participated in a wide variety of sessions, covering topics ranging from innovation and sustainable development to Palestinian administrative detention. After meeting with young women who had suffered at the hands of the regimes in which they live, students wrote and delivered speeches on FGM (female genital mutilation) and the issue of child widows to a session involving more than 30 NGOs (non governmental organisations).
