Show me:
Team Carnegie meets once a fortnight in the library to discuss the books they have been reading in order to “shadow” the Carnegie Medal 2014 long list. The Medal is awarded every year to the best children’s book of the year, and every year schools are invited to share their choices with the judges.
The Team consists of:
Billy Harding 8F, Zak Newton-Jones 8F, Charlie Trinder 7G, Jake Bean 8C, Sam Svensson 7G, Joel Francis 7E, Sebastian Rosch-Iles 7F, Oakley Pollard 7F
They say:
“From adventure to fantasy and humour to mystery, Team Carnegie are reading them all! We are trying to choose the most gripping or tragic story to nominate as the winner of the Carnegie Medal. As part of our mission we have to read as many of the long list as possible, and share our thoughts with the others. We are enjoying the challenge!”
