Show me:
In October Marling School hosted a language conference for primary teachers. The training was delivered by The Goethe Institute (London) and was supported by several sixth form students currently studying German in Year 12. Having shown great enthusiasm for the project of introducing German into primary schools, Nick East was awarded a prestigious bursary by the Goethe Institute. Here is what he has to say;
I received a German Scholarship after attending a conference on the introduction of German into primary schools. The conference introduced different materials to assist young children learning German. A couple of days after the conference I received an email from the conference host, Roma Schultz, that I have the opportunity to have a scholarship in Germany, from this I had a choice of various locations and dates. The scholarship gives me and the other participants the opportunity to enhance our vocabulary and understanding of German beyond GCSE and A-Level and learn more about Germany as a country and a culture.
I am attending the course in Bonn for the month of July and shall return at the end of the month just in time for the AS-Level results day.
