Marling School celebrates excellent GCSE results
It was great to see the Year 11 boys back today and to be able to celebrate their success. This is the first group to complete a full set of reformed GCSEs and the change has meant uncertainty for both staff and students. However, the boys worked really hard, and with the support and guidance of outstanding teachers and staff, they have been rewarded with excellent results which are amongst the best the school has ever seen.
55% of all exams were at the very highest 9-7 grades and 80% were at grades 9-6. There are many stories of individual success with a quarter of the students achieving 9 or more 9-7 grades, 15% achieving 10 or more 9-7 grades and 4 students achieving grades 8 and 9 in all of their 10 GCSEs
I would like to thank all our staff who have worked tirelessly to support the boys in and out of lessons and on behalf of everyone at the school, I would like to congratulate the boys. I look forward to starting their A level journey with them in September.
